Anastasia Volochkova


Anastasia  Volochkova was born January 20, 1976 in Leningrad.In 1986 she entered, and in 1994 graduated with honors from the Russian Academy of Ballet Vaganova.Last year at the Academy she became an intern and the Mariinsky Theatre performed the roles of Queen of the Dryads ("Don Quixote") and Odette-Odile ("Swan Lake").

The successful debut in "Swan Lake" opened the door a young soloist of Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg and from 1994 to 1998 she danced in the ballet troupe of the theater. Her repertoire included: Odette-Odile (Swan Lake), Nikia (La Bayadere), Giselle (Giselle), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Lilac Fairy (Sleeping Beauty), Kitri (Don Quixote), Medora (Le Corsaire), Raymond (Raymond), Clara (Nutcracker), Firebird (Firebird), Sheherazade (Scheherazade), soloist (Paquita) Zarema (Fountain of Bakhchisarai), Female (The Spirit of Rose,The Dying Swan (Fokine staged), Fragment from The Nutcracker, Tango,Vilis, In Memory of Princess Diana, My Chrysanthemum, Metamorphosis.





In 1998 she was accepted into the Bolshoi Ballet, where she worked under the guidance of Ekaterina Maximova. Her repertoire included: Princess Swan (Swan Lake staged by Vladimir Vasiliev), Raymond ("Raymond" (staged by Yuri Grigorovich), Nikia ("La Bayadere", staged by Yuri Grigorovich), Lilac Fairy ("The Sleeping Beauty ")," Russian "(directed by K. Goleizovsky)," Joke "(directed by Bryantseva).


Anastasia - the participant of the Bolshoi Theatre in several European countries. During these years, she began touring independently. The fall of 1998 at the invitation of Natalia Dudinskaya involved in the production of "Giselle" in Tokyo in the company of "New National Ballet".
